This smoothie blends quite well in about 15 seconds. Blend for slightly longer to ensure the pulp of the orange is broken up or change oranges for tangerines as they generally have less pulp. The nutritional values will be quite similar.

I always use almond powder as it is just easier to blend. You can substitute this for another form of almond although results may vary and it may require more time to blend.

The Fresh Start Smoothie has a moderate amount of carbohydrates of the 60 grams of carbohydrates 47 grams are sugars. Pineapple is responsible for 15 grams of this and orange 11 grams the rest is from the 1% milk and low-fat Greek yogurt.
