Strawberry Banana Smoothie – The ingredients
Info about the Strawberry Banana Smoothie
How to make it – This Strawberry Banana Smoothie is easy to make. It is a simple no stress smoothie. Cut up the banana and throw it in your blender of choice. If you are looking to upgrade your blender or are simply looking to buy your first one, I can recommend the Ninja Professional Blender. It has a large enough volume and enough power to do just about anything you want. Make sure you wash the strawberries but don’t worry about taking out the stalks, they are completely edible and actually contain some great nutrients. Measure out the oats, yogurt and hemp seeds then add them to the blender. Finally, add the almond milk. If you want to add ice and convert this smoothie into a dessert smoothie bowl I would advise mixing all of the ingredients first and then once everything is blended then add a few ice cubes and blend again for 5-10 seconds.

Despite being a fruit smoothie, however, the vitamin profile is not as strong as it could be. It has moderate amounts of most vitamins and only lacks decent amounts of vitamin A and K. If you are looking for a smoothie with high levels of vitamin A and K you should check out The Crazy Carrot and Kale Smoothie. Thanks to the Hemp Seeds we have a good amount of various minerals, every mineral is present at least 17% of your RDI. To highlight, there is a high amount of magnesium, a total of 40% of your daily RDI.
Extra Nutritional Information – The strawberries and oats contain some antioxidants and polyphenols. This smoothie has one fantastic characteristic that I haven’t mentioned yet, and that is the amount and ratio of omega 3 and omega 6. There is just over a gram of omega 3 and 3 grams of omega 6. An important factor that I have said before in other smoothie but is still important to say is that it is not only the amount of omega 3 and 6 you consume but the ratio you consume them in. You want to try your best to consume omega 3 to omega 6 in a ration of 1:4. The average modern diet has a much higher ratio of around 1:25. The Strawberry Banana Smoothie got a score of 74 on the Smooth Fuel Nutritional Score.
